I made Creamy Beef Curry from the community website. It is always a winner and even better the next day. Also had focaccia bread in the freezer from another baking day.Yum!

And a sour dough loaf, results from a class hosted in Birregurra today, with Rick Lavender....and have some starter brewing along nicely  :)



I started the process for Dutch beef croquettes, by pressure cooking the meat element....so hopefully I can finish them off tomorrow, and post the recipe if a success  ;)

Maddy those both look great. Rick Lavendar was the consultant I originally purchased my TMX from, I think he may have stopped not long after, I only heard from him once after purchasing.

Wonder, he had stopped for quite some time he said....such a lovely guy!  He also runs pasta classes (doing that one later this month), and runs a baking one also.  Must say, it was the best class I have ever been to....it was hosted in a beautiful old homestead, owned by "the kitchen diva".....we were in her rustic (large) farm house kitchen, surrounded by vintage kitchen things, lots of shabby chic....I could so move in there tomorrow  8) lots of local cheese, meats, nibbles to sample  & a couple glasses of lovely wines....thoroughly enjoyed it  :)

Sounds wonderful Maddy. I had seen on an internet site that he was doing cooking classes but didn't look into it any further. he was very knowledgable and from memory was also a naturopath. I've never heard of Birregurra!

It's a tiny town near the ottways down here.
If you ever get there, the Birregurra Farm Foods & Provedore is worth a visit  :D



Picked up wine, kabana, their own pork & fennel sausages & sweet smoked paprika....could have bought so much more!
Oh, and Rick runs his classes in Melbourne, via "the life we want" on facebook, if your interested.

I am about to start making macarons with an almond buttermilk filling and cherry ripe cheesecakes.

Our modem moved on to its next life 2 days ago. Surviving on 3G at the moment.

Made Ang Koo last week, from A Taste of Asia, with some help from my minions (Parents-in-law, imported all the way from Sydney) 😁

A traditional sweet dumpling that's given out during babies' first month celebrations called Full Moon. Ang Koos translates to Red Tortoises. The dumplings are usually red as it's an auspicious and lucky colour.

But I didn't want to use food colouring. Replaced with bright orange colour from sweet potatoes instead 😄

Filling was a mung bean paste.

Will add a recipe review soon.
