I ran a Thermomix demonstration at home today so I cooked
sorbet
bread
cheese sauce
tomato and red pepper soup
vegetable gratin

I've also made granola (but that just used a spoon and no TMX)

Then I was so tired I had to ask for ideas for dinner on a facebook forum so I cooked chicken with rice and vegetables from the F&E cooking book ....

Only youngest child liked it but he's a food superstar (also tiny and skinny as a rake!)

We all finished off the sorbet from the demonstration for pud.  My dishwasher has barely paused for breath  :o

I now make home made baked beans from haricot beans.
Much healthier and part of our approach to weight loss. Only a soupçon of sugar/molasses compared to tinned.
No puddings  >:( except fruit, and a lot more veg and salad.
So tonight we had small shepherds pie from freezer with home made beans in tomato sauce and lots of broccoli.

I love the look of the beans DJ. It is a very sensible thing to include beans etc in your diet. Especially if meat is as expensive over there as it is here. We love our fruit after dinner and any point in between.

Made these today for DH lunch boxes. They are really yummy and healthy.
http://revolutionfromhome.com/2013/02/bestie-banana-pancakes/
I may have had a few.....! Rest in freezer wrapped individually.
Would be great for kids lunch boxes reducing both their sugar and processed flour intake.

Made half quantity makes 10 to 12 depending on size. I only used half a tsp rapadura sugar in the whole mix and you probably could do without.  Used two bowls, not  *:. Whisking the egg white really makes them light. I only use a hand whisk.

And also made this cake http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=9145.0

Used chickpeas ground finely and oats, and then 36gm ground almonds as had no coconut. Also 2 bananas and 3 large Medjool dates.
Used only 2/3 of a 1/4 cup of coconut sugar, and slightly less coconut oil then recipe said.
Haven't tried it yet, but will slice and freeze when cold. Then the tradie who comes next week and is seriously gluten free can have some. He will be well chuffed.
DH can try a slice for dessert tonight.

Great effort with the jam chookie.

Nice work DJ.  Unfortunately no one in this house likes bananas in cooking :(

The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.
