Nibbles. SD bread stick, strained yoghurt with fresh dill and garlic chives, topped with smoked salmon and capers.

I made some Strawberry Jam, and  bread things called Fougasse(?) ..I saw the recipe in one of my new books and decided to try them.
We had one of them with our soup tonight.

It's just a basic bread dough without the air knocked out after the first rise. You carefully cut it, and then cut the slices into it and pull them apart so they don't join up. I thought they would be Ciabiatta like, but it is just like bread. The taste is fine etc but I don't think I will bother again.

Not sure I am asking this question in the right place. Here goes.
I'm a bit out of touch with making sweet cakes, ie Bimby Chocolate cake. I need to make one for my little GS 's birthday.
Would the recipe be enough for a 10" - 25cm square tin? Hoping someone out there can help me. :)

Yes Katj, it's enough for your tin. Good luck with your cake.

You don't need to know CP. You are already full!

You are quit right. I am full on air. Maybe I'm full of hot wind.

(No. This is a a personal challenge that in 5 weeks time I will know if it's successful or not) it's hard to post negative things about what I'm doing because it goes against the grain of succeeding. From now onwards I'm not going to try and explain myself in the so called "sensible" manner I'm just going to say what I'm programmed to do.

Took me three days to prepare this bread from my wonderful gifted book
Secrets of A Jewish Baker. Can't thank you enough Katij.

New York Rye. Not a wonderful looking loaf but wonderful flavour and worth the time and effort.

Looks great Gert, if I lived closer I would be around for a slice.
