I noticed them in the shops this week Kimmy, mind you they may have been there since after Christmas but I rarely spend any time in that section of the supermarket to have noticed.

I made a zucchini, pea and sweetcorn pasta dish for tea tonight with enough for 2 more meals.

CC,  what is in the Russian soup.?
It's an recipe I found years ago in the Covent Garden Soup Cookbook.Very basic but most people would have the ingredients in their fridge.
1 Onion,225g Potato, 110g Carrot,110g Parsnip, 50g Cabbage.Small handfull of parsley,1/2 tsp mixed dried herbs, pinch  of nutmeg,S&P and 1 litre of vegetable stock.Saute the chopped veg and parsley in 50g of butter.Add the stock and seasonings and cook until veg is soft.Puree.
Very easy in the TM.It tastes good too.

Will try that Denise, only ingredient I don't always have on hand is the parsnip.

I did a SD loaf that I put in the fridge to prove over night. I left it for about 2-3 hours after I took it out of the fridge before I cooked it. Tastes lovely. DH has already cut it up and put it in the freezer. He used the lovely knife MF gave me in Hobart and managed to cut his finger. :) :) That will teach him not to put it away until I have had a couple of slices for quality control. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

He was kidding about having to go to the new Fiona Stanley hospital but their ED doesn't open until tomorrow. Fortunately it isn't a bad cut. He would have kept it a secret if it was.  ???

CC, thanks for the recipe.
Cookie, DH was just trying to help. ;D
Today made Brons veggie stock concentrate, then used unwashed bowl to make tomato soup. Like this much better than the EDC one.
Mini seed loaf in SC.
Mashed spuds from home grown potatoes.

Cookie, I made the Macadamia & Fruit slice, very nice indeed, I followed your advice and only used 2 Tablespoons maple syrup. It was plenty sweet enough.
Made a batch of Date & Banana Muffins and a big batch of Bolognaise sauce with Veges in. The GK's love it so DD puts it in containers in the freezer.
That's my good deed for the day!
