All I made today was a loaf of bread.

They look very tempting Suzanne.  I don't know if I would have the will power not to eat them all.

Yesterday I made 3 casseroles.  Chicken, Mushroom & Bacon.  Lamb Chop casserole.  Meatballs in Tomato sauce.
I tried making a SD Fruit Loaf last night and it looks like it might be a flop.  It's not risen much so I will give it till this afternoon before I cook it.

Today I'm making a Lamb Curry for dinner and have a pot of Ham Hock soup on the stove.

Mab, the sugar in the fruit seems to retard the rise. Can just give it extra time or knead in 1 teaspoon of dry yeast and give it a couple of hours more. Also if baked in a pot with lid, will rise more.
Today picked the first cos lettuce to have with Salmon, for lunch. Made a dressing with Dijon mustard and lemon juice.
Also had made butter bean dip and had some left. Mixed some tinned salmon with it and will fill small tomatoes.
Cauliflower and leek soup for Dinner.

Inspirational cooking girls.

Suzanne that looks amazing. No chemicals.
Chookie I didn't know about cooking bread with a lid helps it to rise. Thank you.

OMG Astarra. 6 dazed muffins. ,!! Nice to have the girls helping.
GS on Sunday helped me make Apple Roses. Would have been better cooked in metal cup cake tray instead of silicon . The puff pastry would have crisped up more.

Nice cooking by your GS Chookie.  My boys always loved to help out in the kitchen when they were little.  I have a lovely photo of them helping DH make bread when they were small.  More flour on them than n the bread.

Mab, the sugar in the fruit seems to retard the rise. Can just give it extra time or knead in 1 teaspoon of dry yeast and give it a couple of hours more. Also if baked in a pot with lid, will rise more.

Thanks for that Chooke.  I was rather disappointed with the result of the bread. The dough finally rose enough for me to cook it in the afternoon but it isn't the best bread I have ever made.

I love the Apple Rose Chookie. Well done to GS.
Margaret I think we all have loaves we don't like much. How does it taste?
I've made 2 dozen mini quiches this morning for DD to take to a Christmas in July. A Lemon Cake for DH to take to car club and I have 2 Baguettes rising. I'll post photos when they are all completed.

The flavour is nice Cookie but the loaf itself is very heavy and gluey.
