Heading to Melbourne today.  No cooking for 3 days.   I have made just over 60 jars of jam and sauce in the last couple of weeks.

You need a break from the kitchen Chookie, what a great effort - have fun in Melbourne.

I'm about to go and make a weird SD bread. It really isn't SD. I will share the success or disaster when it is cooked.

Up early this morning to beat the heat.   Made Anzac Slice, Chicken & Vegetable Pie, Meat Loaf and a SC meat dish with some meat than needed to be used up.  I'm sitting back now enjoying a cuppa. :D
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

Wow Mab. You've been busy.
I'm sitting with my second cuppa trying to do a menu plan for the week as well as my on-line fruit and veg order for tomorrow.
Don't really feel like cooking but I might give this slow cooker pot roast a go (I love her one pot and fast recipes) and some lamington cupcakes for Australia Day tomorrow.

I've been looking at that Pot Roast Gayle, it looks nice.
An old friend is supposed to be calling this morning but I think he may have forgotten or his wife isn't well. DH will ring and check soon. They will talk cars. I had planned to go shopping for some food but I have stayed around and have some No Fuss Rising for rolls and have done the next stage of my weird SD.

You make your own starter for this, as the recipe or even the book does not tell you the quantity of starter to use. Their starter uses yeast and you leave it for 5 days. When I used it I weighed it in so that I could use my Chookie starter in future. After mixing it sat in the fridge overnight and then this morning I have shaped it and it is rising again now.

Here is the finished product. I think it must be very nice, DH had about 4 pieces, I had 2 and DD had a couple. It didn't taste sour at all but had a nice texture.

Mab, you have been busy.  My kind of food.
Cookie that does sound interesting.   Looks good too.
When we get home, dinner will be something with Zuchinni.  They were growing like made when we left home to come to Melbourne.

It must have been delicious if DH had so many pieces cookie.  It looks rustic and inviting.
Nothing like home grown zucchinis Chookie, bought ones don’t seem to last very long before deteriorating.

Gosh, I don't know what happened there! I used tapatalk and seem to have multiple photos.
I made Katie's Carrot Hummus today, and felt it needed a cracker biscuit without too much taste, so I made a Lavosh recipe I had.

I've made three small Cottage Pies, Leek and Potato soup, prepped overnights oats for breakfast tomorrow and started a SD loaf to finish tomorrow.
