Great cooking everyone!  Not much being done here I’m afraid!!  Would have loved a piece of your peach tart Chookie.  What book was the recipe in?

I started a white SD loaf today and it is in the fridge tonight. I'm not too ;sure how it will go. I always return to my tried and true breads.

Trudy, I made it up.
Yesterday we had visitors for lunch and I made 2 recipes from Ottolenghi ‘s book. Simple.  They were both delicious.  One was carrots roasted in Middle Eastern Spices and a Zuchinni one that I converted to TMX.
Will post.

I made a SD loaf yesterday that had been in the fridge overnight. I had to get DH to help me put it in the Dutch oven as it wanted to go everywhere. The taste was nice but I don't think I will make it again.
Today I have made a Classic loaf and have made a chocolate cake in my doughnut shaped pan.

There has been no cooking happening here.  I've not been feeling 100% lately.  Very tired, no interest in food and just generally not myself.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

Margaret, just take it easy, you will come right.

Made a forbidden rice salad, red beans and rice stew(?) - just a one pot mix of red beans and brown rice!.  Also made a 'creamy / cheesy' pasta dish.  DH made a mixed seed SD loaf back tou sing his usual Wallaby flour and it was fantastic, so much tastier than the last one when he had to use a different flour.

Margaret I hope you begin to feel your normal self soon.

Marina it is amazing what a different flour can do.
I made my chocolate cake and put it into the doughnut pan. I must post a photo. I cant do it on here, only on my ipad.

Made fig Jam.  Maggie Beer is famous for her burnt fig jam.  I have joined the club. I can make it also.
Made Apple and mixed berry jelly.  Will soon have enough for the year.

Well done Chookie.  Maggie Beer probably discovered her Burnt Fig jam in a similar way to yours.

Several years ago we were having coffee at her place in Nuriootpa with friends and they were selling some pomegranate and plum jam very cheaply. They had forgotten to add the pomegranate and didn’t realise until it was all bottled. Naturally we bought a few jars. I think it was about $2 a jar.

Great baking girls.  What a bargain with that jam cookie, you were at the right place at the right time.

Margaret I hope you’ve been to the doctor, your problem may not go away without some help.
Scones with jam and cream sounds good to me Chookie.
