It is lovely being back and reading what everyone is cooking. Thanks also for the photos. Would you believe that the first thing I made was pumpkin and Cauli soup.

The filling for RTE Family Meat Pie.  The men can have this with mashed potato & greens for dinner tonight.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

I made some biscuits yesterday.

Finally, I think (hope) I have finished all our left overs.  I don't know where they all came from as we have been trying to use them all up for the past 4 - 5 days.

So good when the fridge is bear . Although DS is very concerned that I need to do a shop , I might be holding off hoping that someone else will go get some food and cook !!

Can you get away with a fruit and cheese platter with some good crackers and dips?

Spot on Marina.

Looking through the vegetable section of our forum yesterday and decided to do a veggie curry which I had done and enjoyed a long time ago https://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=15029.0. I cut the curry powder from 1 T to 1 tspn but it was still too strong for me so I was unable to eat it. My specialist did tell me I wouldn’t be able to eat spicy food, he is always right !

Judy, I enjoy a few of the milder spices (especially cumin), but not particularly chilli so I tend to leave it out and DH just sprinkles some over his portion when I dish his up so I understand where you are coming from if one spice is too much for you.

Judy, I have made that and liked it.  I don't like cumin but like a bit of chilli.

Made a batch of lemon curd , Thermobexta’s recipe . Used the thickening mode , it worked very easily . Orange ( poppyseed, not used ) cake from Thermobexta too . This is a light fluffy cake , no time to ice as DS started on it then had a small bowl of ice cream with the lemon curd !!

It’s certainly a great ‘soft food’ recipe Margaret, mine’s in the freezer for my daughter.
Marina, I should have learnt by now what I can and can’t eat!

I started a SD loaf but not until late. I’ve popped it in the fridge overnight.

I think you always need to try things now and then, Judy - DH gets a reaction from lactose but has found that if he has a small dessert with milk / cream / ice cream or just a wee bit of cheese on the odd occasion he can enjoy them without a reaction ... however, if he has too much he suffers for the indulgence.
