Today I made Date, Walnut & Banana Bread from form the EDC book. I am following recipes to the letter, but it seemed a little tough, like it was overmixed?   :-\ Tasted very yummy tho.
Haven't done that one foxycoxy but this one is really nice - read the whole thread though before you make it. http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=3779.0

Thanks so much Judy, I have saved that one and will give it a go. I noticed that a lot of the mixing is on reverse, but the one that I made yesterday wasn't, maybe that's why it seemed overmixed?

Today I made Five Seed Bread from the EDC. It has turned out lovely, it took a while to rise but got there eventually. I am a real breadmaking novice - have only ever made it in my breadmaker before.

Today I made Chilli con carne for tomorrow's supper. Then made a new soup called, Potage Malakoff but that might need a bit of tweaking. Then steamed green beans, carrots, brussel sprouts and new potatoes to go with a chicken pie. With the leftover spuds I'm hoping to get around to making Judy's Parmesan Potatoes.

Last night I made a odds and bods lying about the fridge risotto, using chablis wine as part of the stock - it was heavenly, surprisingly enough.  Today we had bread dough which we took to the allotment and cooked over a fire as part of our lunch, which was also surprisingly good.  Tonight we very unimaginatively had boiled eggs and soldiers, and just picked fruit.
As my picture shows, I've suddenly become younger :-)  DD was of the opinion that her picture should be here, not mine!

We have been under fog all day today,  and I thought this was Spring!!!!    Made a Golden Syrup Pud, tasty cheap and easy.  Will post if anyone is interested.  Visitors tomorrow so made a Macadamia and Honey Tart (posted), will be making Isi's prawn soup,  and butterflied leg of lamb with an interesting marinade,( will post if it tastes Ok after it is cooked).  Will make a dip and bread stick tomorrow.   For lunch made pannini with cooked chicken, avo, mayo and bacon.

I'm going to make some of Tenina's Citrus Butter (when I drag myself off here) and some more strawberry jam. Made some sultana and lemon biscuits yesterday. They were nice so I'll post the recipe.  DD has just bought me a lovely book "The Golden Book of Cookies" from book depository. It has 704 pages so it should keep me supplied with new recipes for a while. ;D

Judy I am so sorry I think I just removed your message. I was trying to add to mine without using modify.  MY most humble apologies. :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( I promise to look more carefully in future.

CC,  it really is lovey,  we were up high on Beacon Point with a room looking through the gum trees.  I took a photo as I thought someone might be interested.  It is attached to a Greek Restaurant,  where they have beautiful food.  The service is outstanding.

That is a great spot Chookie - lucky you.

Had a demo at a dairy farm today, and made some butter from fresh Jersey cream scooped off the milk, which they slathered on hot bread rolls,...

That would have been good !!! Yum

I am going to attempt to convert my chestnut cream soup (Chestnut Bisque) to the TMX.   For many years I have made this, after prepping and cooking the individual components, in the Vita Mix blender because the soup will scorch if  you look at it cross-eyed, or neglect it for even a moment.

Results will be posted (good or bad) later this evening.

Not sure how you went?  I had chestnut soup (wrong season here?) on Saturday at a top restaurant here, might try to see if they used the TMX (I know they have one)

...  I wish we could get the buffalo cheeses, yoghurts, etc, from the buffalo dairy, but they send them all down south to Sydney - they're quite 'gourmet' and didn't sell as well up here apparently  :(

Wonder if they also sell to Melbourne?  We have a great range of buffalo milk cheeses (ricotta & burrata) & ricotta & yoghurt.

Good day for Baking!.  Snowing here right now.  Made Farfallina's Hazelnut Bread,  I added a handful of Craisins (dried cranberries).  It made a beautiful fruit and nut loaf.  I recommend this to anyone looking for a nice nut and fruit bread.  Eating left overs from visitors.  They really loved the Macadamia and Honey Tart.  So do I as It is easy in the TMX and can be made the previous day.
