Today I made Tomato relish using tinned tomatoes as fresh tomatoes are not very nice here this time of the year. The tin was 2.95kg and by the time I drained the liquid there was 2 KG of tomatoes which made 6 jars of relish. Smells pretty good. Probably wont give it a taste for a couple of days to see what it is like. I'm used to making a huge batch of relish with 9 kg of tomatoes so will be interesting to compare the 2 different methods. TM method is quick and easy but what about the taste?

This afternoon I have made a batch of farfallina's chocolate souffle for the freezer and another batch of Millipede's delicious Muesli bar.

Those Muesli bars are delicious. The kids don't like them much but I love them. I ad raw seed nut and fruit mix to mine. Yum  :P

I find them just a bit hard to cut but I love them too Mandi.  Kids get enough treats these days so it's nice when they don't like something and can leave it for dear old Mum  ;)

That reminds me JD. Must put a batch in the freezer myself. These really are to die for and so easy. Even better if you have some in the freezer ready to go for those unexpected visitors.

going over to a friends house tonight as their son's wife has had a baby boy, and we are going to go to Granpa's to wet the baby's head so to speak. I have made a Lemon Tart for dessert and we'll have this with mascapone, some Lemon Curd for our neighbour, the Whole Orange cake made into texan size cupcakes and piped on some Vanilla Frosting . That size is rather big, and I think I need to buy the medium size trays.  (No, the strike is not over yet)
