Garlic and feta. It sounds just perfect to me.

I'd make it again, the garlic cooks quickly and peels really easily once cool. I think I'll make a big batch next time and keep some for other tasty purposes. My feta was quite soft and melted in to the bread, but a firmer own would give little chunks of yum. I think some herbs would be nice, maybe put a sprig of rosemary in with the garlic as it cooks.

I made 3 batches of this today and made 2 loaves of bread and ham & cheese pizza scrolls.
Finally used my pipe loaf tin.
I love this recipe, as it's the first bread recipe I had success with and it got me on my way to baking all sorts of bread. Thanks Chookie!

I have no trouble remembering this recipe Chookie. I make it several times a week.

Such an easy recipe, don't know why I didn't try it earlier, first prove was by the window in the sunshine and second in the oven ( warm from previous baking) with a bowl of warm water

Rainbow, glad you liked them. This is a basic recipe and can be ' fiddled ' with. Can add soaked grains.
Can add a little more water and another 1/2 teaspoon of yeast for a lighter version.
Can make with wholemeal flour, add a little more water.
Make savoury scrolls.
And lots of things that Forum members have done.
Have fun.
