What flavourings do you add please Chookie?
I put peppercorns and vinegar. I also do my veggies in the SC too.
Bay leaves.  I planted a bay tree at Invermay especially  for this. Brown sugar, vinegar and peppercorns. If you use some of the liquid to make a mustard sauce it is especially nice.
We love it served with TMX mashed potatoes. You could use a sugar substitute.

When we had our visitors recently I cooked my silverside in the SC with gingerbeer, onion and cloves.  Very nice.

We are having Curried Prawns tonight using chookies Curried Scallop recipe

The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

I always make the ginger beer version and add carrots, potatoes and celery. It is always a winner. I make the white sauce using some of the cooking liquid and pepper and parsley. The white sauce is so simple in the Thermo! I give my mum a serve or two of this dish when I make it as I also cook and deliver her meals.

Lunch,  chicken Maryland, mashed pots veggies and apple pie.
Made the pies in new Pie Maker.

That little pie maker looks good Chookie. A real plus that the foil containers fit it. So easy to make and freeze some.

Tonight's dinner is pasta, chorizo and pea pesto.

I thought you meant the party pie maker Chookie.  The S & N looks deeper than my Sunbeam 4 piemaker.

Very clever idea Chookie for the pie maker.

I made a Bolognese Sauce yesterday so will be having that with pasta tonight.

Judy, the volume of this pie make is the same as the Sunbeam one. I can’t buy a party pie maker.  .removing the foil cup and heating in the AF works very well.  This one is no good for cooking crumpets.  Too small in the base.
Dinner tonight, roast Duck breasts with steamed veggies and baked potatoes.  Fruit salad.

I felt like a tuna meal over the weekend so made a basic tuna/corn mornay with mashed potato topping a couple of days ago and had one ramekin for dinner tonight.  Rest are in the freezer.

We took the EJ for a run to Fremantle today and fish and chips down there, so dinner will be very little.

DD took me out to Nobu for my birthday lunch today. ( she will be back at work when my birthday comes). It was beautiful. I had a Bento box and them we had dessert. Oh my gosh, so many small elements put together to make an amazing dish.  I had a Lava White Chocolate Matcha Dessert cake with Yuzu icecream. The inside of the cake was a real taste sensation and I really love the flavour of yuzu. They had written Happy Birthday in white chocolate on the serving platter and put a lit, pink candle in the icecream.
