I had a DeLonghi magnifico i paid  $2750  for  over  the course  of three years i paid over $600 in repairs, it started going wrong as soon as it was out of warranty. One thing i was told especially for Aussies is only ever put filtered water in the coffee machine.  I then bought a Saeco for much less (in an auction) and no problems ever since!!
I would not recommend a DeLonghi :(

I love my Nespresso machine. I allow myself one every day.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

I have a DeLonghi I don't love too.  Got it as a "gift" when we bought a stack of stuff while doing our renovations.  It broke down within a year, but was replaced, so still ticking along.
I'll probably go for a nespresso next time too...saving up my Fly Buy points.

.... however, I saw a great French romantic comedy yesterday called Happiness Never Comes Alone. Almost fell off my seat laughing in places. Plot was predictable, but it was well acted and the leading lady was so beautiful - I wish I looked as good as her .....

Es thats the movie dh and i saw at the French film festival months ago... Sophie marceau is gorgeous and is in alot of french films (she has been in many well known french films since she was a child) and gad elmaleh is one of my fav comediens... He is brilliant...we enjoyed it!  Lots of laughs..

I have a DeLonghi Prima Donna, its about 8 years old, cost approx $3,000, love it no problems with it at all, never been serviced & when it does break down would just buy a new machine. We have had our moneys worth from it. Its all automatic, just press a button & off she goes.

I haven't look at this thread in a while and seemed to have a missed a lot.

Best of wishes to all with problems big and small.

The Great Gatsby is one of my favourite books and I really enjoy Leonardo DiCaprio but don't like the over the top stying of Baz Lurhmann so not looking forward to seeing the movie. I might just wait until it's available on DVD.

At home with DD today.  Just made pikelets and now about to snuggle up with a DVD.  Pretty cold here today, so quite happy to have a quiet day at home.
Soccer practice for DS after school though....brrrrr.

Getting over the flu bug, nearly gone.

Unpacking, washing etc.

Booking flights to Melbourne, organising boxes & things to start to de-clutter MILS house so it can go in the market. Its a shame Melbourne is so far away.

Its a big job, nothing has been removed since Pops passed away 8 years ago & they have been in the house for 52 years, its a big house full of stuff!!

I  have been sitting here enthralled with the ongoing soap opera on 'the Hill'  amazing! It has all the hallmarks of a new mini series. Wonder who will play Julia and Kevin. Maybe Kate Blanchette and Bert Newtons son??  :-)) hopefully now they can get on with the business of governing  ??? On the topic of coffee, I have a Miele capsule machine installed when we built our home, it was on the top of my wish list. It takes the nespresso capsules and produces a coffee/ cuppacino as good as you get from a top notch cafe. Love it as does all family and friends. :D
