Lovely looking loaf JulieO.
CC I love your cake and also the cyclamen. I love them but they usually die on me.

Yesterday I made a ½mix of ILB Chocolate Cake to put in my ring tin, it was a perfect size. Today is some more biscuits (the guys at car club eat lots at morning tea, I love it) and a spinach quiche for dinner. Today is Tenina's class so I get to eat early and leave.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

sometimes I wonder if people roll their eyes when I keep putting up photos, but in another life, yes I would love to have been trained in food photography and to have been able to pursue it as a job.  :D

:o :o  Not at all Julie.....everyone loves your beautiful photo's.
I for one, do not purchase cookbooks with out photo's, so it's really great to actually see what your meals look like when you post about them    ;)

Thank you, you've made my day.  :D

Not really cooking but thought I'd share.  The other day I dried some apricots.  They dried okay but I wasn't very thrilled with the taste.  I think I needed to use more ripe, sweeter fruit, (still learning), anyway not wanting to waste them, today I blitzed them till they formed little clumps and put back into the dryer for a couple of hours.  I then put them in the TM with a little icing sugar and blitzed them until powder, had a taste, added a bit more icing sugar until the bitterness had gone but still had a little tartness.  I've now got lovely apricot coloured powder (as fine as flour) that I've vacuumed packed mostly, but have put some in a jar to use.  I think it will be really nice to sprinkle over desserts to add a little colour and flavour.

Got to love the TM, to be able to grind dried apricots to powder.

Another fan of your photos JulieO. Please keep them coming.

CC you are so organised, gorgeous cake and love the cyclamen. (Also love the wood in that table)

A baker's trick is to paint melted butter thickly on a round pan liner

Neat trick Andie. Going to give that a go.

Today I made tuna risotto for the first time (Yum yum yum) and also tried cooking Dark & squidgy ginger cake in the breadmaker after mixing it in the thermie. Really zingy moist rich cake. Not too bad for a first go but still needs work...

Bimby chocolate cake mixture for cupcakes but used buttermilk and iced with choc buttercream icing - very slap dash as DH needed them for the office tomorrow but only found out about 8.30pm.

Made my first ever batch of yoghurt last night and had it for brekkie this morning.  It was lovely although a little thin as I forgot to put in the powdered milk.  Next time I will know better.  Today I am making Meganjane's tasty chutney but not in the tmx  :-[ and then some bread rolls and tuna risotto for dinner tonight.
