i completely forgot to add salt  :( i have called my sisters for advice on how to fix it all they said was, good luck with that one uni

Its reassuring to hear that even really experienced cooks make mistakes Uni, so you've made me feel a bit better ;D That proabably wont fix your lasagne though :-\

Just off to the shops to get ingredients for farallina's Farro Lentil Soup :D

Tonight I made Red Lentil and Chickpea soup. I have made this a few times but don't think I have ever posted it. Every time I make it I convert it as I go. I got the recipe from the Fresh Section in The West Australian about a year ago.

Love that thread Uni ;D ;D ;D Hope I never have anything impressive enough to post on it though!

Today, as well as my awesome lentil soup ( :D ) I tried to make a recipe I found on the recipe community site for sesame snaps. They were supposed to be cooked in a slice pan and then cut into bars, but the mixture was so crumbly it wouldn't stick together. So I added an egg and some flour and made them into biscuits instead ;)

Dashingden, if you could post the recipe that would be great. Like Amy I've never cooked with lentils but have some red ones in my cupboard I really should cook up.

They were sooooo yummy Uni :D I was on the forum while I was having dinner, and I kept going back to the kitchen for just one more spoonful... but before I knew it there was only one bowlful of my soup left! I showed some restraint and managed to not eat it, but it is sitting patiently in my fridge waiting to be gobbled up at lunchtime ;D

None for the freezer... :-))

That sounds like a really good recipe Uni. It would probably be good for diabetics as well?

Making beef and mushroom pies today.  The filling is cooked and just waiting for it to cool.  Have made one batch of pastry but need to make more.

Has anyone doubled the recipe for the short crust pastry from the EDC book?

Hope to make some quince paste later as long as DH remembers to buy me some lemons.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.
