I've made chelsea's beef stroganoff for the freezer today. I was going to try Amy's chicken and tarragon hotpot for dinner but changed my mind and now have corned beef going in the varoma. Never cooked it before but was inspired by Judy's thread.

My Thermomix,  Kitchen Aid, Pizza oven, Nu Wave 5 in 1, Spatulas, all brings love, laughter, happiness, and great food  to my kitchen.

This weeks cooking so far for my friend, hw long do you think it will last. She s home & doing well, and is hungry, no loss of appetite ;D

I bought 1 litre take away containers

Fried Rice 1 container
6 hoisin chicken drumsticks
Basmati rice 1 container
Chicken pasta 2 containers
Tuscan Beef  1 container
Chicken tika masala 1 container
Roast Lamb  1 container
Vegetable soup 2 containers
12 beef patties
2 pizza dough balls

Impossible lemon pie

Tomoroow
Mini quiches
Bread
Potato Bake
Steamed Veg

Is this enough to get her through until the end of the retreat, it has to last 10-12 days

She finds out next week what her next stage is.

H :)

OMG Hally you are doing so much, what a wonderful person you are. Your friend is sure to appreciate it :D :D :D
I think that will probably be enough until the end of the retreat, and she might not have enough room in her fridge or freezer for much more!

You're a star :-*

It is an excellent stash of food Hally and her DH can always pick up chicken and chips or pizzas if needed.  Maybe other family members or friends will help out too now that your friend has been discharged from hospital.

Thanks everyone. Its hard to judge how much food is enough. As you say JD a couple of take aways could work well too.

Havent added up my spend this fortnght, but think I will come in under $300. Not much food to buy next week as we can live off left overs. Just dairy & some fruit I hope.
