Forgot to say that I am cooking some silverside in the varoma for the first time.  DH is a little sceptical about it but I told him it has good reviews and so I am trying it. :)

Here's the dessert. We loved it.

The old fashioned egg and bacon pie is on DH's iPad and he is out with it taking photos of of vintage vehicles. !

The  silverside is cooked and DH has been nibbling at it.  He is very impressed and says it it the best he has ever had.  I told him to have some faith, these forum ladies know what they are about. :D

Nice looking dessert Cookie.

Can't wait for it to cool.

Wonderful Bedlam. Yes Judy, Mum's plates. I love this setting. It was her everyday one. When I drop all mine it will become my everyday one.  :D

Love the jars wonder. Good size for big hands.
Today I made spelt rolls (Quirky Jo), honey puffed corn (the road to loving my thermomix) and salted caramel icecream.

Cookie that sunflower bread is absolutely fantastic; I was looking for one of the words the kids used to use when something was great but cant remember; probably couldn't spell them anyway. I have seen that bread was too scared to try it. I have just made Gerts sledging biscuits and they look and smell great.

Thanks Troupie. Gert's sledging biscuits are really nice. It's about time I made some more.

Cookie, that bread and dessert look amazing.

Not much cooking today as I'm working at work. Hoping the teflex sheets come for my dehydrator today as I've got loads of fruit waiting to make fruit leathers but it will be so much easier once I've got the proper size inserts and can do 5 full trays overnight. DD is now clued into putting aside any cheap bags of fruit when she is on a shift at ww's, so I've got a big bag of apples and a couple of large punnets of strawberries that need to be used.

Kimmy that puffed corn sounds nice, will be interested to see how it goes.
