Yesterday I made a 'quicker than a packet cake' flavoured orange. I think DH likes it as there isn't much left.

Cookie, do you use 160g sugar as stated in the recipe or do you reduce it?  I find the cake too sweet for me, but the GK love it. :)

Your bread rolls and pizza base took good.

I made a batch (4 jars) of Mango Chutney from Alyce’s Everyday Thermo Cooking for the trading table using frozen mango from Aldi - a 1 kg packet for $6.99, can’t beat that.

Cooked a piece of silverside too.

Can’t help myself. Experimented with cooking overnight SD . Baked in 2 small cast iron pots instead of one. In the photo I have shown the pots to remind me what I used. Both in oven at once, 30 mins lid on, 10 mins lid off.

I only used about 120g of sugar Margaret. I know they say you shouldn't alter the quantities in baked goods but I usually try to reduce the sugar.

Chookie those loaves look lovely.

Thanks Cookie.

Nice bread Chookie.

Judy that was a good price for the mangos.

I am going to make a meat loaf this morning to have with salad for dinner tonight.

I have a Classic loaf almost ready for the oven and I made some rye starter, to make bread with tomorrow.
The biscuit barrel or cake tin need refilling so I will do that this afternoon.

I’ve made sweet chilli sauce and a BBQ spice rub for the trading table tonight. I’ve also finally bottled the cherry liqueur I’ve had soaking for 12 months, they can have that too.

Oh yum, Cherry Liqueur. That would be delicious in fruit cakes.
I'm rising and cooking my rye SD today. Hopefully I will get some biscuits made too.

No cooking today. Too hot.
Bought a cooked chook for $8 from Safeway. Had 1/2 for lunch with leftover Greek salad.
