There are a few pinterest boards that are dedicated to the airfryer as well. The recipes are mostly recipes from other sources with rough airfryer instructions but there are some great looking dishes. I'm thinking I might have to try the avocado fries from this one.

Hally, some food has natural oil eg wings. No oil required then. If you think something might be too dry, you can spray oil. I spray oil on the basket netting to make cleaning a bit easier as well.

I've sprayed oil on some mini spring rolls to bring out the colour.

That's my dilemma too. I have an easy cook as well. I use that for roasts and things in the laundry, but I have never used it for chicken wings or breasts etc.

I've never seen the easy oven, but maybe if you try some of the recipes you'll then be able to tell.

Hally if you are happy with cooking shallow fried dishes in your oven and you have an oven that heats up quickly then I don't think you need one. I have a 900 oven which takes for ever to heat up and never crisps things like potatoe and we much prefer deep frying or shallow frying to the oven method so i'm comfortable we'll get out money's worth. I also don't like things like pizza and pies reheated in the microwave so need to wait until my oven heats to warm up a pie or piece of pizza - big waste of time, electricity and money.

Probably not Mab...they basically work the same, & the turbo ovens have more room to cook larger roasts.
As for storage, it's a bigger item, but not as bulky as the turbo oven. 

Which....confession time  ......I bought the XL airfryer the day before Wonder posted about it  .....in my defence of saying no more kitchen appliances, the Nuwave turbo oven I've had for nearly 4 years died .  I used it for chips all the time (quicker & crispier), roast chickens & other foods.
Thought instead of replacing with another turbo oven, I'd try this one out.  I too purchased it from TVSN.
Used it last night for the first time....very easy to use.  I had a bag of frozen thicker sweet potato chips, cooked 10 mins on 200c, shook the basket & cooked another 10 mins.  Crispier chip than what the oven would do.
I like the fact I read you can have baked potatoes done in 20 mins, instead of an hour like the oven.
Look forward to experimenting & testing out how roasting a chicken goes 

Pizza oven was mentioned....I still use it at least twice a week, & would also replace it in an instant

Ok, I now have to hang my head in shame. I am about to succumb. This morning DH pointed out a Harvey Norman ad in the paper that has 15% off for the fryer.  This would bring it down to about $381. I have rung to see if they have any in stock, my local doesn't but the one in Midland has 17. I'm going over this afternoon.  I am going to move the easy cook over to make space for it. I don't want it on the bench, but will put it in the cupboard where it is easy to get out.
