Helene you have typed wise words. NOw to be really honest, I don't care that much. As long as I can come on here and share recipes I'm a happy little thermomight.
I'm sure Tenina will get back to Meagan as soon as she can.

thanks MJ, that's a weight off my mind!  I'll leave my recipes on there, just not enter them in the comp.  :)

Never underestimate the power of magnanimity. I maintain that in business, as in friendship, it is its own reward. Sadly, this fact it all too often lost on those who focus on the almighty dollar. The good news? Awareness of this pitfall is a success in itself.

is that contact information as in customer contact information that they are asking for ILB?

Yes it is faffa.  It's funny as they detail what I need to do should my circumstances change I want to re-register and it seems that if I do that, then I'll need to start from scratch again.   ??? :-))  If that's the case then no thanks! I didn't do all the ground work establishing TMX in this region as the first consultant in the area for them to rip it away and make me start from scratch again.  Maybe I have the wrong idea, but it doesn't particulary leave a good taste in my mouth.

Quirky,
I have no issue with HO wanting to keep in contact with existing customers. And they do have all the customers details on record when the order was placed.  From there they're entered onto the data base and included in the newsletters and updates regarding cooking classes.  I was sent a really berief spreadsheet once with half a dozen customers from aanother town completely who's consultant had also retired. It certainly wasn't the type of information taken off the green forms. And in many cases these customers were no longer contactable at all.

Saying all that dI was left on my own when I purchased mine too. My consultant is still very active but there was no way I could get any support at the time.   Anyway that's a completely different can of worms I wont get into.

Thanks for your words TB.  :-*

ILB, I'd tell them your records were all destroyed or lost when you moved.

Yes, it's just such a terrible shame that I threw them all in the recycling prior to Christmas isn't it.....

This has been an interesting thread to read and I totally agree with you all.  And I'm really disappointed that HO choose to use our recipes without giving us the due credit. That's all we ask for, not royalties but just credit where credit is due.

I just received my offical "resignation" letter from HO. No Christmas card but they were pretty quick to send off this letter  :-))  And I was suprised that they're demanding all the contact information back ASAP as it's 'their' intellectual property... I'd better step off my soap box now before I say too much  ;)

My Spiced Chicken & Sweet Potato recipe may have been submitted for the Meat On The Menu cookbook  ??? ??? but never used, even so it would be respectful for it to be acknowledged correctly.

I wonder if many of the others had been sent to them for the same reason either as a monthly mouthful submission or for a cookbook....? How many times has Tenina been on here asking for some help and recipes...??? :-\

Yes they are. I had chased it up with my BM or HO  ??? ??? at some stage and when the order is placed your email address is supposed to go onto the data base and you'll get sent the newsletters via email.

Otherwise just go to their website and register your email address. ;)

I'm sorry to hear you've had a bad experience, ILB  :(  My customers have told me that they haven't gotten the newsletters at all from HO, so I thought I had to send them, so that's what I do... and my friend's customers haven't been getting them either, and since she's finished up a couple have asked me for updates, but I don't have all of their contact details, and was worried they'd get neglected.  Sounds a bit messy.  Hope it's sorted out soon.

Btw, I didn't get a Christmas card either, but I did the first Christmas I was a consultant - maybe they only send it out the first year you're a consultant, since it's still the same card with the same recipe!  :D

Thanks Jo.  I was assured at the time that HO would include the customers on the mailing list because I had wondered if I needed to add them myself...

And to be honest I really doubt they'd have the time to sort through everyone's green forms (from those that have retired) and follow up.

I had Christmas cards for the first two years. No big issue, I'm not worried about it. I just thought it amusing that's all  ;) ;D

Jo, it's only recipes entered in the competition that become Vorwerk's property.

I am not sure that is the case? Read the terms of use on the bottom of the home page.
